The plaque commemorates the men and women of the parish who served their country at home and abroad during World War Two.
At the last Annual Meeting it was decided to place in the Church a memorial to the men and women of the Forces who served in the recent war, a memorial to the late Rev. H. O. Watson, for ten years vicar of St. Peter's; a memorial to Rev. Geo. Cox, who for over 25 years gave faithful service to the church and community.
